A health care worker at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital has tested positive for Ebola after a preliminary test, the hospital said in a statement. Confirmatory testing will be conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta…
This now has become the second case of Ebola in the United States—but something more important has occurred: It is the first time that Ebola has been transmitted from one person to another..
Thomas Eric Duncan went to that hospital. We know that they sent him home the first time, with a temperature of 103. The second time would see him meet his fate, dying in isolation as the hospital was desperate to mitigate damages from their first massive fail..
Now the failure has doubled. The second takes place..
As far as what position of medical nature this person had? No word on that yet. The patient, patient 0 part 2, did provide direct patient care for Duncan .
But there is one bit of good news to report: Deputy Michael Monnig’s family and friends that the blood test has been returned quickly and was negative for Ebola.. that’s great, especially since the officer sounded as though he was next in line for the disease, given his actions in this case.
