With some great interest, I read this article which pontificated that UFOs appearing near the International Space Station may prove that it is being watched..
That is interesting. And completely pure tabloid speculation. The video, however, could make a bit of the case that the speculation is at least partically warranted. So often strange objects in the sky makes news. But when objects are in space and suddenly transmissions from governments get cut off, one has to ponder the possibilties.
All of that said, I read with even MORE interest the follow up to another story about UFOs and alien races just this morning.
A few days ago, the world was stuned to learn that Russian space watchers detected a mysterious signal beaming from somewhere in the constellation Hercules–so any light years away we couldn’t count on even a million hands. The signal, we were told by mainstream news outlets, was the real deal. It was discovered OVER A YEAR AGO but just announced this past week. The world suddenly was taken back by the chances of life out there sending out a message in a space bottle.
Stunned..
Amazed..
Bewildered.
And then the drumroll to more news….
Nothing.
CNN led its story just yesterday with an ignorant and ridiculous opening:Apologies to the tin foil hat club. The article appeared to be penned by a third grader. At least that was the style.. Here is the crux of the conspiracy theory in waiting:
Apologies to the Tin Foil Hat Clan, but that mysterious signal emanating from a star in the constellation Hercules? Yeah, probably not an alien.
If E.T. didn’t phone home, what happened, you ask? It appears Earthlings are responsible, though scientists haven’t explained exactly how.
So all of that “this is the real deal” talk — including on places like CNN– now turns into a big flop?
Yes, they mock the ‘tin foil hat clan,’ whatever that may be in their minds, but isn’t it interesting that the same sources laughing now were amazed only, oh, one day earlier. You can see logically how a conspiracy theory of space agencies and SETI hiding information about ET would be born, don’t you?
What really bothers me these days is the overall tone expresse by mainstream news sources when it comes to anything related to the possibility of life being found somewhere in the universe. Normally, people are mocked if they record lights in the skies… normally, people are laughed at if they claim visitations by extraterrestrial life.. normally, only the tabloids run stories like the original one linked in this post regarding the possible UFO near the space station.
Real science and real stories are regulated to the last few seconds on night news casts.
Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis had a good show about this topic last night and also pointed out something I (and most likely the rest of the world) not aware of. An asteroid bigger than the one which hit Russia a few years ago by surprise zoomed by Earth on Saturday.. the distance: A quarter of the earth to the moon.. it was big and bad and in space terms we came very close to doom and gloom on this planet. But nothing on the snooze networks about it.. nothing on the information potholed highway.. no discussions of how major space orgs missed this one. It was spotted by the amateurs. Thanks God for them. Perhaps their next mission could be to analyze the signal that was coming from Hercules until yesterday..
We do not know if we are alone. Some in the ‘tin foil hat clan’ may think the elite and powerful actually do know, but they will not share that with us.
No, instead.. we will be subjected to breaking news bits about SIGNALS FROM SPACE.. only to have those hopes of space exploration dashed and smashed by ‘just an earthly source’ follow up.
The truth is out there.
Sadly, the media and officials who make light of ‘tin foil hat clan’ members will never allow the truth to be sought. After all, it is the ‘tin foilers’ among us that ask the best questions, care to do the research, and are open to the possibilities that intelligent life is not regulated to political talking heads bantering about Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton for 16 hours of the day, every day.
Maybe the signal from Hercules reached us and, after seeing the choices we make in elections aroud the world, was immediately cut off as THEY continue THEIR search for intelligent life.
