In only a few weeks it’s going to be the painful 20th anniversary of princess Diana’s August 31 1997 death–one of the events where I still know where I was. Watching the ABA parade in Ashland PA..
I was a news junkie as much then as now. Though I had no Net or news, I made sure I knew where CNN was at every function. During one trip in to the house to use the bathroom, I saw the breaking news event. The rest is history.
History is dramatic and fast. I often think about how it goes quicker than even the drumbeat of modern mundane life.
What would the last 20 years have been like if Diana lived? Perhaps different.. perhaps the same.
But she didn’t.
She died on a fateful August night 20 years ago this year. And this image pictured is the final photo shoot memory we have ..
