Predictions! A review, and what may come in 2020

Every year I attempt to give me thoughts about the upcoming year and events that will occur..

But first a breeze back in time. HOW DID I DO!?

This is what I said for 2019.. My comments from current time are in red bold below:

  1. Economic uncertainly! Will we collapse!? Will we fail?! All of this is on the table as markets go up and down with high momentum.. Big changes and shifts. We will end the year mostly strong, but 2020 remains the enigma.. Election year recession? It’s possible by the end of ’19  Nope. Not close. Maybe.. Or maybe not. Indicators still appear strong. This prediction was wrong.
  2. Donald Trump investigations galore! But what to see!? Everyone around him will be in trouble trouble.. him> …. he will make it to 2020 … DING!! 
  3. Democrats in Congress MAY impeach Trump but the Senate will not convict… DING part 2! But the Senate has yet to vote. So a half ding.
  4. Most high ranking officials around Trump will continue to resign or go to jail. It’s mayhem at the highest levels!  The ‘as the White House turns’ have been too much to keep up with, I will count this as a ding.
  5. Weather!? Yep. Another big story. Few snow events but much more in the rain and flooding and tsunamis category… it’s going to be a brutal year. This one was true… depending on your location, this was an awful year of weather.
  6. Robots will begin to take over parts of many industries.. people will start seeing the end of their careers thanks to tech. Yes.. But this was a given. A cheap prediction!
  7. SEARS will be gone, as will many other major retailers that have been around for 200 years. I guess that’s called progress….. SEARS is still around.. but just about not around.
  8. Big big celestial events will cause chaos and fright as blood moons and eclipses reign supreme..  These space events will coincide with strange anomalies on this planet. We live in strange times.  No.. Maybe? yes? No..?
  9. TECH OVERLOAD!!! We will start doing yoga.. seeking out peace.. and anything NOT associated with computers and smartphones… Not yet. Not yet…
  10. Ruth Bader Ginsberg will .. well… there will be a new nomination for the Supreme Court.. and the rest of the year of politics will be hell…………………. Ruth Bader survives!!! THIS ONE WAS DEAD WRONG!

this is now..

these are the predictions for 2020, the first glorious year of the roaring 20s.

  1. Donald Trump will easily win his reelection in the electoral college but soundly lose the popular vote.  There may be early polls indicating his demise.. there could be some excitement around Democrats in the summer.. but we will end the year with Trump causing the second biggest political earthquake of modern times…
  2. Bernie Sanders—yes, I am saying it–will be the Democratic nominee for President. He will choose Andrew Yang as his VP nominee.
  3. 2020 Olympic games in Tokyo: The United States will still reign.. but China will come very close on the heels of the great American empire in the gold medal race.
  4. Brexit. It will happen. And it will be chaos at least for the first few months.
  5. 5G is coming. 5G will change everything. Maybe 20 years from now it will increase cancer rates, but in the mean time it will increase speed of the net delivery.
  6. Robots will continue taking over..
  7. Social media will start to wane slowly in popularity.. It is not that we had too much, it is more that the alpha generation has just never accepted social media in its internet forte. Expect the new generation to ditch the social media norms .. But never give up the net.
  8. STRANGER THINGS 4 will become the biggest Netflix show ever released.. Its debut will coincide with the US Election, and experts will lament that people stayed home from polls in favor of watching the series.
  9. The New England Patriots will win Super Bowl LIV
  10. Mass shootings will continue. We will be overwhelm with horror and heartache as gun violence continues across the United States.

 

That is is.. the predictions for the coming year. Sealed in the Coal Speaker vault until 2020’s end..

We will see how this fares out through the year..
