Memorial Day 2021! The weekend that starts the summer season. Sizzling hot BBQs near a cool blue pool.. beverages of your choice abound.
How did you celebrate it? Most likely by trying to find those extra blankets you put away in March!
This weekend in the Northeast, it barely got to 48 degrees in places while a cold rain persistently ruined all plans…
The only solace were in door facilities yet again open as COVID mitigation evaporates..
Time seemed to drag on this weekend without remorse or kindness, didn’t it? Just a hell of a long slot of hours as as the clock ticked slowly into oblivion..
Not even the adult beverages were able to warm you up..

It will not stay cold forever..
SUMMER will return, and this will NOT be a repeat of the famous 1800s year without a summer when it snowed in June in Pennsylvania.
But boy, oh boy, you sure didn’t feel it this weekend, did you?
Accuweather has a LONG LONG range outlook.. They predict 80 degrees and bright sunshine during the next holiday, July 4th 2021.
And by then we will suddenly be seeing the twilight coming earlier, sunset arriving sooner..
Year after year it seems like winter holds on.. tightens the grip.. and then smirks devilishly as eventual extreme heat moves in, knowing his magic cold touch will be back in just 16 more weeks…….
