What is killing sugar cane workers in Central America? A deadly kidney disease is to be blame… it has killed tens of thousands of young men, and it’s becoming more deadly. 

It’s been killing for 20 years, reports the GUARDIAN, and no one truly knows why the numbers are so horrid for young sugar cane laborers. The ‘malady of the sugar cane’ is now the second biggest killer of men in the country of El Salvador.
