It would appear the crises over state budgets within the next several weeks and months will only intensify.. Most states within the seemingly fragile union are billions in the red.. The federal government also runs out of spending cash in March and unless a miracle occurs and Congress is able to pass a continuing resolution, there may very well be a federal shutdown of government within the United States–this at the same time states crumble under the weight of oppressive debt..
