Where have all the UFOs gone?

For decades since a little incident called Roswell rattled the United States, and Sputnik flew to space before America, UFOs have been the rage.. Flying saucers.. films about invasions.. X FILES.. Art Bell. All of these pop cultural events made UFOs all the more popular, and made all of the pop culture all the more the rage.

Until 2018?
Somehow suddenly calls to the famed UFO reporting center have declined dramatically..

While the organization only recorded 307 sightings back in 1990, they reached a peak of 8,619 in 2014, before falling slightly to 5,516 in 2016..

The drop in reports does not necessarily mean a decline in interest.
New this year focused on some events from over a decade ago involving the military–and all of that news was the result of some behind the scenes work Blink 182 founder Tom DeLonge was able to pull off.. A recently leaked military report revealed fascinating new details about a 2004 incident involving what appears to be a UFO. The incident is better known as “the Tic Tac incident” due to the Tic Tac-like shape of the purported UFO.

So yes, more news. More events.. but just less people documenting their sightings? Less people looking up?

Maybe we can trace the decline in something else, something more illustrative of our current populace’s combined behavior: We don’t look up anymore. We stare at smart phones. We are locked in our digital world.. And all the while the INVASION MAY HAVE BEGUN!
