Lest we forget.. The Gulf War took over all aspects of our lives. Including these ads from 1991. Big giant white fluffy sneakers. Ninja Turtles on the shirts.. the war on the pants.
It was life during wartime in the early part of the last decade of the 20th century. And boy, that war design was pervasive.
On that picture? Yea.. I even recall having those pants. Possibly the same exact outfit.
It was everywhere.
Just for the posterity.. here is a series of commercials that aired on CNN during the height of the Gulf War when I (and the kids in the ad) was sleeping in my bed with those desert-storm pants.
