The famed Chicago song from 1972 has rare lyrics.. a Saturday in the park, it must have been the 4th of july. But guess what, this Saturday 4th of July will be the final Saturday that the 4th of July falls on until 2037 and that’s if an asteroid doesn’t strike before then.
But while it wasn’t a Saturday in the Park it was a Friday and last night at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown at the Allentown iron pigs stadium, it was an amazing drone show and fireworks show along with a big crowd of patriotic people waving flags, smiling, and enjoying some fellowship and togetherness. There’s a lot of news articles displaying division in this country, but to be a part of an event where that gets put aside for a moment feels pretty good. Now let’s hope today your Saturday in the Park on 4th of July is just as nice.
As you read this there’s plenty of things to do and if you read this after hopefully be plenty of things to do was done at least in some small part. Hopefully safety is maintained sobriety while driving or designated driver if you choose to enjoy adult beverages, spark was in fireworks that don’t emit enough explosive material to mince your hand up. And hot dogs and hamburgers or a vegan option of your choice minus the parasite that’s giving everyone a violent diarrhea filled forth in many states.
