It has been a while since I posted..  hectic week. A sick week — sickness prevailed for the past seven days with my son suffering from a flu or something like it.. And said disease being passed to me.. as the 7 day period of time comes to a close, all seems well in the household again..

There were some things that caught my eye this week.. And here is a sampling of such from around the world….and beyond..

‘Shaving Cats!!??’ Virginia police probe seven pet abductions.. Police and townsfolk in Waynesboro, Virginia, are trying to figure out why someone is abducting pet cats and returning them with hairless underbellies.

Small town oddity: From Waynesboro Virginia: Shaving Cats..

Police and townsfolk in Waynesboro, Virginia, are trying to figure out why someone is abducting pet cats and returning them with hairless underbellies.

Since December, at least seven cats have suddenly shown up at their homes with shaved belly, groin and leg areas, Waynesboro Police Captain Kelly Walker said on Friday.

“The shaving appears to be almost surgical,” Walker said.

No harm was done to the animals, but they “seemed a little skittish” after the curious incidents, he said.

The occurrences came to the attention of police when an owner asked about posting flyers to encourage the public to report suspicious activity to authorities.

“Shaving Cats!!??” says the poster in Waynesboro, a city of 21,000 about 140 miles (225 km) southwest of Washington, D.C.

“Several neighbourhood cats have been ABDUCTED and had their lower abdomens and groin areas SHAVED. This is very upsetting to the cats and their owners,” the poster says.

Tips about aliens being sent to Trump ‘VOICE’ hotline. Like real aliens..

It’s unclear how many people actually placed calls to the hotline, and several Twitter users reported long wait times to get through. But the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency suggested it had impacted their service.
“There are certainly more constructive ways to make one’s opinions heard than to prevent legitimate victims of crime from receiving the information and resources they seek because the lines are tied up by hoax callers,” a spokesperson told Buzzfeed News
