I have been an avid weather-watcher since I was young.. Hurricanes were always the most fascinating. The most destructive of storms so often, in a sense, look the most beautiful on a map. The more ferocious they get the most picture perfect they become.
Last night when Hurricane Harvey hit, that was the exact circumstance. The perfect storm struck.. we are living through history. And that’s never a good thing when it comes to weather. Sunny days aren’t recalled often, the most awful of patterns and hurricanes instead are..
Prayers go out to the residents of Texas and any other state that feels the effects of Harvey..
Watching news coverage last night, whether on network cable or TWITTER live video, was like seeing Katrina play out all over again.
At the time I write this, we aren’t yet sure the extent of wind damage Rockport and other communities felt.
And by the time the storm leaves, the wind will be a memory. The wall of water that remains–50 inches possible!?–will be the worst of all.
Updates below..
Prayers for all..
When I get information on where donations and public assistance for those affected exist I will pass that along. It is the least someone with a website can do.
