Hopefully the Austin nightmare is over: Bomber blows himself up

UPDATED 10:03 AM 3/21/18: MARK CONDITT NAMED AS THE DEAD SUSPECT IN AUSTIN BOMBINGS

ORIGINAL POST:

For weeks now the city of Austin Texas has been invaded with fear: Packages and explosions, trip wires and blasts throughout the city.

Late yesterday it was learned that someone on REDDIT claimed to be the Austin serial bomber–if it really was him, he claimed he wanted the same fame of a serial killer and while didn’t want to murder people just wanted to ‘watch the world burn.’

Today? ….the serial bomber appears to be dead. Suicide. DEATH BY BOMB.

The suspect in a string of bombings in Austin is dead, interim Austin Police Chief Brian Manley confirmed early Wednesday.

The name of the suspect, described only as a 24-year-old white man, has not been released, pending notification of his family, Manley said… That will be coming shorty no doubt as the media firestorm continues.

Although police are still investigating the possibility of accomplices, he said, “we believe this individual is responsible for all of the incidents in Austin.”

Manley urged the community to remain vigilant for possible other explosives, adding that “we do not know where (the suspect) has been in the past 24 hours.”  ..Police have not identified a motive for the string of bombings, Manley said.

Also a warning: There may be more bombs that have been delivered yet to go off. While the suspect may be gone, the work could still exist..

And the final difficult question of the moment: Does the serial bomber have a friend? ….word this morning is he had roommates. Are they involved? … or is it action of one suspect?
