Every year when the crisp fall winds begin to blow and Halloween approaches, Knoebels transforms into a spooktacular place for ghosts and ghouls of all ages. Visitors can experience tasty treats, thrilling games, freaktastic attractions and, of course, a selection of Knoebels’ hallo-riffic rides. We have gentle haunts, scary attractions and treats to suit everyone’s taste. There are even special treat stops for children 12 and under in costume! Every year since my son was about 3 or 4, we attended.. The memories of the hot summer get replaced with cold nights with lights as bright as ever in the darkness.. hot coffee is front and center as cold drinks get quelled by time..
It’s a magical time of year. The veil is thin. The nostalgia of Knoebels goes hand in hand with the all-encompassing feeling of the season.
… And I like traditions. My tradition? A random snapshot of my son in his costume near the beautiful ferris wheel at the park.
And I am going to cherish every year I get the chance to do it until the time he tells me to stop.
….and even after I will relish in the chance I had to create memories of his childhood in an amazing place during an amazing season.
