Pottsville.. coming alive again

THE WHEEL..

The new POTTSVILLE DINER.

The Crimsom House..

And PRESSED..

All of these newcomers joining the ranks of the Roma, the Grey Stone, Sage, Palermos, and other favorites among Pottsville…

After so many years of stagnation. something amazing seems to be taking place in Pottsville.. something new.. something fresh and amazing..

The streets of the city are somehow alive again, Mahantago Street properties are rising in cost and value.. Yuenling is celebrating its staying power.. New restaurants and life are filling the city nights…

The other day I posted a picture of Pottsville in the 1960s, back when Kennedy was shot and Johnston took office..

….and today? …maybe things are looking up.. Maybe things are getting better. Life is coming back to the famous city founded by John Pott…

And maybe, just maybe, a restaurant named Coal Speaker will grace the city and feature an open-mic night on Halloween called Ghost Speaker. Stay tuned for that.

🙂

    1. I am for real.. Pottsville feels better.. happier.. more alive. While this may be based on food and bar choices, life has to begin somewhere.. I hope there is more life that continues, and that the city becomes a more popular tourist attraction a-la-a Jim Thorpe.. it can happen. Believe.. be positive..

  1. Bryan, we’re so excited for what’s happening in Pottsville. Thanks for the plug!

  2. The Coal Speaker *and family and friends* loved Pressed and the energy that is there.. Good luck and we will continue to fill ourselves with the caffeine if your location. 🙂
