The Drudge Report continued its above the fold banner headlines on COVID-19..
Today’s crop of news links portrayed the chaos we find ourselves in and the week we have to live through..
PEAK DEATH!
Birx even warning not to go the grocery store!?
During today’s Coronavirus news conference, Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator, said,
“The next two weeks are extraordinarily important,” said Birx. “This is the moment to not be going to the grocery store, not going to the pharmacy, but doing everything you can to keep your family and your friends safe and that means everybody doing the six-feet distancing, washing their hands.”
That warning in itself, however, shows the dire nature of events that will be plaguing American cities and small towns over the next dozen days –or more.
A LOT OF DEATH
A few of the more important points made during the news conference today..
“There’s going to be a lot of death, unfortunately. There will be a lot of deaths,” President Trump said at a briefing of the White House coronavirus task force… At the same time, the president expressed frustration with the toll social distancing measures are taking on the economy, saying “we cannot let this continue.”
Beyond the political banter that occasionally pops up at the daily press conferences, both Birx and Dr. Fauci seemed to express a unique concern about ‘hot spots’ that go beyond New York and other Metro areas… hot spots that include Pennsylvania..
Luzerne County.. the city of Hazleton.. Montgomery County.. Clusters of cases with locales that have residents seething each and every time they see a New York or New Jersey license plate in their town..
These seem to be the places where the most worry is at–places that are often rural or poor, such as our coal region, that have limited hospital choices and much more limited space and medical capacity..
The next two weeks… could be some of the more trying weeks emotionally the nation has lived through.. beyond the health issues.. it’s economic issues included.. Social distance warriors noting every person on their block who doesn’t keep a 6-foot distance.. people who are petrified of leaving their homes. We will not resemble anything we were prior to this pandemic when it’s over.. We better throw the mirror away, because a good look will be mighty awful in a few months.

SOCIAL DISTANCE JUSTICE
Two unidentified teenagers from Elysburg will be charged for violating Gov. Tom Wolf’s stay-at-home order, according to police Chief Allen Breach.
The two men, who are both 19 years old, along with two juveniles were “out just driving around to hang out” at approximately 1:50 a.m. Saturday, the chief said in a news release.
Wolf’s stay-at-home order went into effect 8 p.m. Wednesday and will continue until April 30. Previously, there were 33 counties under orders to stay home.
Wolf said individuals may leave their residence only to perform allowable individual activities and essential travel, including tasks to maintain their health and safety, getting necessary supplies, engaging in outdoor activity and to care for a family member or pet in another household.
A violation of the stay-at-home order falls under the state’s Disease Control and Prevention Law of 1955. A person who violates any of the law’s provisions is subject to a summary charge and, upon conviction, a fine of not less than $25 and not more than $300, plus costs.
All of this will be over, soon.. right?
WAVE 2?
Well…
