We noticed an influx of news users on our site over the previous few days. All searching for “megan hall” .. that name rings a bell.
We also spelled her name Magen, and we did extensive reporting on her through the years. She is now sitting in jail in Louisiana for killing Pottsville businessman Pat Murphy.
Oh wait.. Nevermind.
We have a whole new Megan Hall on our hands.
So strange how that name came up again, for very different reasons.
The newfound fame of the name Megan Hall is not because of her toilet talk with fellow inmates in New Orleans, but a whole other Megan who was actually a police officer. A cop that got caught up in a wild ride.
Be cautious on your Google searching for this one. We did it for you.

One officer, Patrick Magliocco, said in the report that Hall had kissed his wife, Amy, and that her husband witnessed the incident but ‘really wasn’t on board’ ..

The new Maegan Hall story appears to be weird and also tragic. Everything about it more bizarre as you delve more into it.
Coincidences happen, too. So the name “Megan,” or however you spell it, coupled with Hall now yield really awful Google searches. Regardless of the year. And all the while the movie M3GAN is popular in theaters.
Parents beware: The 2020s are NOT a time to name your child Megan.
Moral of the story, if you last name is Hall do not name your daughter Meegan, Maghan, or anything close to Megan.
