IT’S CHRISTMAS IN CENTRALIA

No matter where you were in the town, you saw two churches.. St. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox–which still stands–and St. Ignatius, the building dead center in the middle of the famed fire.

The choir at St. Ignatius did justice to the Christmas season…

We came, all ye faithful..
We sang about the king of Glory..
We joyed to the world..
We talked about me.. and my drum…

There was majesty in that fine building, there was history.

It was the final bright full moon of this decade.. And we will not see the number synchronicity for decades more.. It was one of the brightest moons in memory.. it was beautiful, big.. bold. A symbol of the trying teens coming to an end..

In the case of the Ashland PA Christmas tree, perhaps we can look to that tree as a good thing.. after all it could be worse!

On December 3, 1986, fierce winds that rolled through the area actually blew down the town Christmas tree. One hundred of the light globes got damaged as well.

The mystery TV head man

Strange tales coming from Henrico County Virginia..

A mysterious character wearing a fake TV set on his head spent a night carefully placing over 50 old TV sets on the porches of dozens of houses in the area..

People were waking up on Sunday and calling police to report not theft.. but the gift of an old television set..
