One small Los Angeles retailer has been “paralyzed” by extreme demand after images of drug kingpin Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzman wearing two of their colorful shirts were featured in a controversial Rolling Stone article about the prison escapee earlier this month.
The phones have been ringing off the hook at Barabas and millions of emails are flooding the company’s inbox, Vice President Tatiana Kivachook told Mashable. Requests have been coming in from around the world for the shirts worn by El Chapo, from countries such as the U.K., France, Germany, Australia and Bulgaria.
