IRMA’S TRACK OF PAIN

Night Terror News seemingly has become a weather website as of late.. Since this website often expresses my deepest fears, it makes sense. Though always fascinated by weather and its power, it has equally scared me since I was young. Oddly enough, my 6-year-old seems to have picked up the same habits. He asks often if the rain will flood us, if winds will hurt us, and if storms will reach us…

That brings us to Irma.

There is a certain bit of me that struggles to take Irma seriously. I knew two Irmas in my life, and each Irma was odd in the truest sense of the word. Both Irmas were nice, I suppose. But very, very odd.

This Irma, the hurricane version, appears deadly.

I am going to follow the storm.. right now there are two distinct paths it can take. The EUROPEAN model has a strong Bermuda High pushing the low pressure into the Gulf of Mexico. That would be awful. The GFS model has a weaker Bermuda High bringing the storm anywhere between the Carolinas and NYC for a land strike. That would be awful.

Either way it goes, this storm could be awful.

The target date for potential landfall: Anywhere between 9/9 and 9/11..

The 9/11 date is interesting. In 2001, Hurricane ERIN almost hit New York City but didn’t. If it would have struck, potentially the terrorist events of that day would not have happened. And the rest would NOT have been history.

But this year, IRMA is poised to create mayhem somewhere..

I am praying and hoping a fish storm–out to sea!–occurs.

After Harvey the last thing the United States would need would be a second named storm destroying a major city…

STAY TUNED.

AND CREATE A PLAN.

AND HAVE AN EARLY EXIT STRATEGY.
