Spring is here, and with it comes warmer weather, blooming flowers, and maybe even a touch of spring fever. Perhaps you’ll find yourself visiting a local park, soaking in the sunshine, sharing a picnic with friends, and enjoying a cool drink.
And who knows? Maybe you’ll stumble upon something unusual—like The Schuylkill Note.
Yes, it’s back.
We’ve received new information, along with a photograph of the latest note, discovered in Indian Park in Montoursville, Pennsylvania. This latest find follows the same distinct style as previous notes. While it looks nearly identical to past versions, there are a few new phrases and some updated details.
From the description of events, this particular witness found the note while he was playing disc golf with his friend.. This time the note was attached to a stick with a paper clip.
For those who have followed this mystery since its early days—stretching back to the onset of COVID—you might recall that these strange notes were first found in parks before mysteriously appearing inside sealed grocery store products. (our first report was April 2020) What made it so bizarre was that the notes weren’t simply slipped into opened packages—they were found inside sealed boxes, sometimes at the very bottom or deep within the packaging, as if they had been placed there during manufacturing. As reports surfaced across different states, a viral Reddit thread emerged, and the phenomenon even caught the attention of WBRE News, with Andy Mehalshik investigating the case.
Since then, the mystery has quieted down, but every so often, it resurfaces—just like it has now, with this new discovery report..
The individual who sent us the latest photograph described how at first, they laughed, assuming it was just a random oddity. But as they read the words more carefully, they found themselves unsettled.
Here’s a copy of the the note and paper clip with the stick that was found:

Theories about the origins of these notes have been swirling for years. Some believe they are somehow introduced into packaging during the manufacturing process. Others suggest they slip into boxes through small openings, though this theory doesn’t explain why they often appear deep inside sealed packages, with no signs of tampering. And then, of course, there’s the added mystery of the notes also appearing in parks—an entirely different setting from grocery stores.
Despite media coverage from both local and national sources, the origins of these notes remain unknown. Who is behind them? What is their purpose? And why, after years of sporadic appearances, do they still keep turning up?
As spring unfolds and people return to parks and public spaces, keep your eyes open. You might just come across one yourself. And like those before you, you may find yourself wondering:
What secrets do our products keep from us.. and what lies to they tell us..
