THE DESCENT OF THE MINERS HOSPITAL

In no way are we in favor of urban exploration in places that are off limits or prohibited. We’re not condoning or approving of anyone who’s exploring places that authorities say don’t go in. But there is some beauty in the pestilence of dilapidated structures, and glory in the once fabulous, shiny hallways of hospitals that are now just rubble and ancient memories too old to even contain nostalgic familiarity.

The Ashland Hospital: don’t go there.

And for people who would like to venture in, you’ll most likely be arrested at this point.

There’s been a lot of crime over the years, such as a great deal of copper theft and break-ins, but there has also been a wide array of videos and photos taken from inside the structure that is now just falling down.

The amazing video instead of photographs of inside the action Hospital comes from Buddy with List Dog Exploration. Check out the YouTube page there’s tons of Awesome videos besides the action hospital. Video and the photos taken all come from this page

Presented for your approval, the once great Ashland Hospital—now just a shadow in the night. A bleak, dark shadow with stories and history that have come and gone:

Perhaps the most offensive part of this video is the fact that the urban explores found files and medical records for humans who were patients there or potentially lost lives there.. That, truly, seems criminal!

For many, including me, I was born there. Many people in the area know people who died there. Many people had surgery there and had their lives saved, while others’ headlines ended. There were great doctors and great staff, and for those who still fondly recall the midnight shifts and the patients that were assisted well, we thank them all for their service. Nurses, doctors, and the unsung heroes who comforted kids with broken arms or moms and dads who had heart attacks.

And some ghost stories sprinkled in for good measure, as well.

In the later years, the hospital just wasn’t what it once was, but that’s not the fault of anyone who worked there.. perhaps instead the ownership that took it into a direction that we just won’t go into right now.

This post is not a reminder of the history, because you can find that yourself. It’s tragic in a sense, but instead this post is a little reminder that that building still exists. There have been sales and purchases and sales and purchases, but nothing quite has come from it. It would almost seem like time is running out for anything substantially good to happen. As a matter of fact, the state of the building may yield the only result that’s necessary, which is an eventual permanent destruction of the property.. unless a miracle may happen.
Miracles happen before, but we do not condone anyone sneaking in or sneaking around that place.

Urban explorers were already there.. with photos and videos to show it.

The once great Miners Hospital.. now in ruins..

All the photos are also courtesy of Buddy please I implore you to check out his YouTube page. Some amazing places have been explored
