Emergency radio traffic indicates that Senator Lindsey Graham suffered chest pains before going into cardiac arrest Saturday night.. a Statter wrote Sunday morning that “Efforts to revive the South Carolina lawmaker were not successful. Graham died two days after his 71st birthday.”
Multiple outlets have reported that Graham was transported from his home in Washington, D.C. to George Washington University Hospital around 9:30 p.m. The South Carolina Republican’s office announced his death just under four hours later from what they described as a “brief and sudden illness.”
News has energed that veteran journalist Dave Statter obtained audio of the emergency medical services (EMS) radio traffic from the call.
More.
Statter wrote that the radio traffic suggested the emergency call came from “a woman in Baltimore,” and that first responders initially “could not get anyone to answer the door” and “apparently forced entry into the home.”
“The radio traffic gives the impression that Senator Graham may not have immediately been in cardiac arrest when they arrived, but there is no confirmation of that information,” Statter wrote…
Graham made a name for himself as a foreign policy hawk who ardently advocated for military intervention in Iran and Iraq and was a leading voice for the unwavering US support for Israel and Ukraine..
South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster can appoint a temporary replacement to fill Graham’s now-vacant seat. Because Graham was up for reelection this year, there is also now a vacancy in the Republican nomination for the seat…
Conspiracy theories are already flowing on his death..
MAGA influencer Laura Loomer also blamed Russia but she decided to tell her 1.9 million followers, again without evidence, that it was possible Russia had poisoned Graham with help from Iran. Anthony Galli, a conservative writer with more than 10,000 followers, took the idea and ran with it. “If Iran was behind Lindsey Graham’s sudden death but we should respond anyway,” he wrote. “President Trump should launch OPERATION LINDSEY GRAHAM. It’s what he would’ve wanted.”
Graham was set for a live appearance on Meet The Press this morning..
