“Verne was the consummate professional and a beacon of positivity for those of us who had the honor of working with him,” Mike Myers said.
“It is a sad day, but I hope he is in a better place. He will be greatly missed.”
Verne Troyer, who played Mini-Me in two of the Austin Powers comedy films, has died at the age of 49, according to statements posted to his social media accounts Saturday.
Troyer was 49. No cause of death was immediately released.
He was hospitalized earlier this month after emergency responders in Los Angeles went to his home.
Troyer was in 58 movies and television shows.
There have been a notable amount of celebrity deaths as of late since Friday the 13th.. it has been a mostly tragic week.
