Catastrophic implosion: The US Navy may have known what happened to the Titan days ago

The world now has an answer to what happened to the Titan Titanic exploration vessel: It has imploded.. All five lives are now lost.

News now is breaking that the United States Navy actually heard evidence of the implosion days ago.. There is some reporting that underwater microphones designed to detect enemy submarines first detected Titan tragedy.. But the Coast Guard said their listening devices did not hear anything.

The US Navy however, heard an implosion shortly after the distress signal was reported coming from the submersible Titan on Sunday. It happened fairly quickly into their 2 hour descent..

A top secret military acoustic detection system designed to spot enemy submarines first heard what the U.S. Navy suspected was the Titan submersible implosion hours after the vehicle began its mission, officials involved in the search said.

Perhaps that instant death is better than what could have been…?

There was no miracle.. and despite days of gruesome and agonizing news coverage, it appears there was never hope for a rescue at all.

The Titanic Five were killed instantly when the submersible suffered a ‘catastrophic implosion’ just 1,600ft from the bow of the wrecked ocean liner.. Just about near the Titanic wreckage.

Not only the macabre death, but the idea of the bodies lost for good is even worse: In a gut-wrenching blow for their families, experts say there is little prospect of recovering any of their remains.

‘This is an incredibly unforgiving environment down there. The debris is consistent of a catastrophic implosion of the vessel.. we’ll continue to work and search the area down there – but I don’t have an answer for prospects at this time,’ Paul Hankin, a deep sea expert involved in the search, said.

The entire world seemed to have an opinion–or often times a gruesome joke. We will get to that in a second.

But among the opinions: James Cameron. “I’m struck by the similarity of the Titanic disaster itself, where the captain was repeatedly warned about ice ahead of his ship and yet steamed at full speed into an ice field on a moonless night and many people died as a result,” Cameron told ABC News. “And with a very similar tragedy where warnings went unheeded, to take place at the same exact site, with all the diving that’s going on all around the world I think it’s just astonishing. It’s really quite surreal.”

COVERAGE AND THE REACTION

Now back to the human reaction. TikTok and other social media has gone wild with this story–people showcasing images of the Titanic, videos of how far down the wreckage was that the Titan was exploring. And mocking and abrasive posts about those on board–they are rich and paved their own way, sealed their own fate some thought. Even more, people mocked them for the wealth.

Meanwhile, news media had gruesome countdown clocks tabulating how many minutes of oxygen was left. Some even went into gory details on the suffering those on board were physically feeling..

It was a gross week. The media reacted in an seemingly inappropriate way.. and humans, fellow humans, almost had an aggressive response to those who died.

They were wealthy. They chose to go see the wreckage of the Titanic. But they were also humans. That seems to have been lost with the reaction on social media. Families now will cope for the rest of their lives with the loss.
